“Once they told me to put the chair on the table and sit on it so that they could see the conciliator. Why would we wage war against each other if we can live in peace, I berated them. Don’t we have enough misery and problems as it is? Instead of killing each other, educate your children so that they don’t become shepherds!”
Prayer cap brought by Alija from his pilgrimage to Mecca. Alija serves the important role of conciliator in cases of large-scale conflicts that oftentimes include weapons. He is a distinguished member of the Roma community of Slavonski Brod.
