“My husband Branko Bakić and I met here, in Donji Miholjac. But unfortunately, he committed suicide. I was pregnant when he killed himself and I lost the baby. After that, I met my second husband, to whom I’m not married, who was divorced and had a little girl. I didn’t have children of my own, and I married him because of his daughter. The person who gives birth doesn’t matter, but rather the one who raises the child. I love her as if she were my own.”
