Milan Mitrovic

“After elementary school, I enrolled in vocational school to become a mechanic; however, I dropped out because a teacher harassed me. I went to the employment office. First I completed a course for bricklayers, then for welders, and then I went to work in Germany. Later I graduated from a three-year school for administrative clerks. Now, I’m a university student.”
In 2018, Milan enrolled in the undergraduate study programme of Early Childhood and Preschool Education at the Faculty of Education in Slavonski Brod. His wish is that all Roma children be included in kindergartens and that all of them have an equal opportunity to be successful in school. He is among the mere 0.5% of Roma community members in Croatia with tertiary education.
