“I feel happy because I can help the children. Students need support and encouragement. I remind my son daily that attending school is important and I motivate him to continue his education because without it, he won’t be able to become a successful person.”
In the past, Danica had difficulties at school due to low proficiency in Croatian language. However, she completed secondary education and today, as a teaching assistant, she helps Roma children at Hugo Badalić Elementary School in Slavonski Brod in order to facilitate their participation in classes and encourage them to continue their education.
