“I seek to help the Roma community. Even in this poverty, the children can find happiness. I was happy even though I’d actually been growing up without a father since the age of six. When dad died, I thought that the smile on my face was gone forever, that I’d never smile again.”

Branko’s father went to Germany as a temporary worker in 1968. He started as a manual worker in the construction business, and after 25 years of work, even though he was illiterate and did not have a diver’s license, became a shift supervisor at the Mercedes factory in Stuttgart.
